AASM Preparation Resources for the American Board of Medical Specialties Sleep Medicine
Certification Examination
On November 19, 2009, the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) will be administering
its next subspecialty certification examination in sleep medicine. Subspecialty
certification in sleep medicine can be obtained through the following member boards
of the ABMS:
- American Board of Family Medicine
- American Board of Internal Medicine
- American Board of Otolaryngology
- American Board of Pediatrics
- American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

ABMS Sleep Medicine Practice Exams
Recently updated for the 2009 exam, this online resource includes 150 questions,
separated into six 25-question modules. Each question has an annotated explanation
of the correct answer and incorrect choices with references for further reading.

disorders; hypersomnias; parasomnias; and polysomnography.
