Physicians in training demonstrate severe sleepiness often resembling fatigue in serious sleep disorders such as narcolepsy and sleep apnea. Unfortunately, physicians-in-training and supervisors are often ill equipped in recognizing and managing sleep problems in themselves.
This webinar, presented by Alon Avidan, MD, MPH, will provide medical education professionals with a synopsis of the consequences of sleep loss in medical education and describe alertness management techniques. The presentation will provide a description of the causes of sleep disorders in medical education; review the consequences on professional and personal lives as well as specific tools and strategies for improvement.
