Course Description
Every sleep center should have an individual on staff who possesses an understanding of the unique business challenges that are present in an increasingly complex and competitive market. This course will provide attendees with the essential information and tools to effectively manage a sleep center. The intensive 3-½ day boot camp will increase attendees’ competency in the areas of: sleep center policies and procedures; legal, coding and reimbursement issues; sleep center business practices; and best practices in sleep center management.
Target Audience
This course is intended for current sleep center managers as well as senior-level technologists interested in learning more about the business practices required to manage a sleep center.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Apply AASM recommendations for sleep center policies and procedures and prepare for AASM accreditation;
- Describe significant legal, coding and reimbursement issues that affect sleep centers;
- Assess and compare sleep center business practices for staffing, accounting and management; and
- Identify and evaluate best practices for sleep centers.
