The AASM Coding Education Program (A-CEP) is the first and only online coding, insurance and reimbursement education program developed specifically for the sleep center. By completing the program, you will gain a comprehensive working knowledge of procedure and diagnostic coding, insurance policy requirements and the claims submission process.

Sleep center staff are frequently required to perform coding and billing duties without formal training in the subject. A-CEP was developed as a convenient way to get these individuals up to speed on the basics of coding and billing so they can effectively perform these tasks. A-CEP provides high-quality educational content, available on demand through your browser. The program is appropriate for psychicians, technologists and sleep center office staff.

A-CEP consists of 12 audio-visual presentations that are approximately 25-40 minutes in length. Each is followed by a short assessment on the key elements of the module. Subjects covered in the module include:

Sleep technologists can claim up to 8.75 AAST Continuing Education Credits (CECs) by completing A-CEP. Center Members may purchase these modules at the member price, but no credit(s) can be given at the completion of the module. Only individuals who purchase modules will receive applicable credit(s).
