The Gold Standard


AASM accreditation is the gold standard by which the medical community and the public can evaluate sleep medicine services. More than 2,500 sleep centers have demonstrated the highest quality of care by achieving AASM accreditation. The Standards for Accreditation ensure that sleep medicine providers display and maintain proficiency in areas such as testing procedures and policies, patient safety and follow-up, and physician and staff training.



Approved National Suppliers for OCST


To help sleep centers navigate through the rapidly changing health care landscape, the AASM is recognizing national suppliers that offer OCST services that meet AASM accreditation standards. With numerous companies offering these services, this voluntary program will give sleep medicine physicians confidence that a contract arrangement will maintain a high quality of patient care. Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Stand-Alone Application $3,000* *If accreditation expires in less than three years and site visit is not needed the fee will be $1,500.
DME + New Sleep Center Accreditation Combined $6000 ($1500 DME fee and $4500 center fee) N/A
DME + Sleep Center Applying Under Early Reaccreditation $6000 ($1500 DME fee and $4500 member center fee) OR
