The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) has sent information to all active members regarding the 2009 election for leadership. In the mail you should have received a letter, which explains the nomination and election process and outlines the current review of this process, from AASM President Mary Susan Esther, MD, as well as a slate of candidates and their biographical information.
It is the intention that these materials will equip you with the information necessary to make an informed decision in the 2009 election. Access the candidate biographies and letter online. All members are encouraged to become part of the election process by returning the ballot, in the postage-paid envelope included with the mailing, by the March 20, 2009 deadline. The involvement and participation of the membership in the election and all aspects of our organization is integral to our success.
