Application Available for New Accreditation Standards

In December 2008, the Board of Directors approved a revised set of accreditation standards. These standards have been available for download and review since early 2009. Now, an Application for Accreditation to accompany the December 2008 Standards for Accreditation is also available for free download.

The December 2008 standards will be effective July 1, 2009. The prior version of the standards, dated December 2007, along with an accompanying application, is still available until that date. Given the significant changes made to the Standards for Accreditation in December 2008, facilities applying prior to July 1, 2009, have the option of evaluation under either the December 2008 or the December 2007 Standards for Accreditation. After July 1, 2009, the December 2008 standards must be utilized.
