The AASM thanks all members who contributed to the American Sleep Medicine Foundation’s Haiti Relief Fund over the past two weeks. In addition to the AASM’s $10,000 donation to this campaign, the ASMF was able to raise $9,731 in funds through generous donations by members. The ASMF has donated 100 percent of the money raised through this campaign to Doctors without Borders, whose work will deliver vital medical care to those suffering in Haiti.
Although the ASMF will no longer accept donations for this campaign, members still have until Feb. 28, 2010, to make donations to the ASMF’s Building the Foundation of Sleep campaign. Members who donate $1,000 or more to the foundation between Oct. 1, 2009, and Feb. 28, 2010, will receive a commemorative brick with their name inscribed at the new AASM national headquarters building, which is scheduled to be completed in summer 2010.
