The AASM Inter-scorer Reliability testing program now includes a new feature that incorporates streaming video presentations to review a previous month’s sleep record. This feature was developed in response to feedback from users indicating that additional information to help increase agreement with the Gold Standard Scorers would be useful. The video presentations will include a scoring explanation and discussion of epochs from the record where significant disagreement existed on the scoring of stages, respiratory events, arousals or limb movements.
A new presentation will be added to the site each month and will be available to users on demand for six months following its posting. Use of this feature requires approval by the facility administrator before individual users may gain access; to activate this feature for your facility, log on to your center administrator account and click on “Account Information” in the main menu.
Access to this new feature is free to all facilities utilizing an unlimited annual subscription. For other facilities the fee for access to each monthly streaming video presentation is one exam credit, which provides access for all individuals registered under that facility. Continuing education credits also are available for an additional fee.
