AASM Launches Redesigned Website
AASM Special Update
Monday, January 3, 2011
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine has given the AASM website a new look for 2011 and has reorganized the site to make it an even more valuable tool for AASM members and other professionals in the sleep field.
The website includes an expanded and enhanced AASM Online Learning Center, where practice exams and new learning modules are available on-demand for your convenience. Online learning modules include lectures from AASM courses, AASM workshops and training modules, and lectures covering the basics of sleep medicine. Each learning module has a streaming video presentation, educational references and a post-test that you can take for continuing medical education (CME) credit.
New to the website is a section devoted to sleep medicine coding. FAQs, news items and links will equip you with the information you need to know about Medicare sleep codes.
The website continues to be the premier online resource for comprehensive information about AASM accreditation, sleep medicine practice guidelines, the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program (A-STEP) and the Inter-Scorer Reliability Testing Program. It is also your source for details about upcoming educational events, as well as current information about legislation that affects the practice of sleep medicine.
Even the online AASM Store has been updated and rearranged. Whether you are a sleep clinician or a sleep technologist, you will find it easier to shop for the products you need.
