This year’s meeting has a number of sessions highlighting the latest advances in sleep medicine and sleep research, including these current topics that you will not want to miss:

Current Affairs – Case-based Review of Headlining Sleep Topics: During this half-day postgraduate course chaired by Douglas Kirsch, MD, attendees will be challenged to use clinical judgment through a discussion of patient cases and a review of up-to-date literature covering several hot-topic areas in the field.

The Surgical Patient with Obstructive Sleep Apnea – A Multidisciplinary Approach: On Monday morning, faculty, along with chairs Nancy Collop, MD, and Tracey Stierer, MD, will present this discussion group where surgical options for the treatment of OSA and related topics will be discussed in detail.

The Future of Sleep Medicine: During this Wednesday morning discussion group, chair Patrick Strollo Jr., MD, and faculty will discuss the results of the 2010 AASM Presidential Task Force that examined the landscape of sleep medicine and sleep research and identified the most important issues and challenges that the field will face in the coming years.
