The Coding page of the AASM website has been expanded to include new frequently asked questions. The FAQs were developed to help members better understand coding, compliance and policy issues related to sleep medicine.
The new site includes answers to typical coding questions including definitions of typical acronyms, instructions for how to find policies, direction regarding the use of evaluation and management coding, and guidance on which coding manuals to use. The FAQ page also includes payment information such as coverage for actigraphy, conversion factor information and instructions for accessing current Medicare payment figures.
