The American Academy of Sleep Medicine Facebook page now honors the history of the AASM and the practice of sleep medicine. Facebook’s newest feature, the Facebook timeline, is a tool that allows organizations to chart out their history. The AASM is using the timeline to post photos from past meetings, important organizational milestones and breakthroughs in sleep research, for members and individuals with an interest in sleep medicine to browse. The timeline will continue to grow in the coming months as the AASM adds more content.
The AASM also posts regular updates on Facebook including, the latest news and pop culture related to sleep, patient information on sleep and various other announcements. Members who maintain a professional or personal social media presence are free to share anything the AASM posts with their friends or followers.
