Applications for the 2012 Behavioral Sleep Medicine Certification Examination must be submitted by May 1, 2012.  The exam will be offered by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) from June 23 through July 2, 2012, through its testing partner, Kryterion, at one of many testing locations in the U.S. or Canada.

Earlier this year, the ABSM posted revised eligibility requirements for the exam, which address the broadening of eligible candidates to include PhD-level nurses, social workers and other licensed and approved health care providers;  the omission (for 2012) of requirement for 8 hours of pediatric intervention continuing education credits; and delineation of the examination content areas.  Questions about the exam can be directed to the ABSM at absmcoordinator@aasm.org or (630) 737-9700.
