The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), the main institute for stroke at the National Institutes of Health, is in the second phase of reviewing new or unmet challenges and opportunities in stroke research. The NINDS is looking to the community for input on how to advance stroke science over the next 5-10 years in the areas of prevention, treatment and recovery. Ideas are being solicited for projects that would answer a scientific question with great scientific or health impact. Your input will be used by the planning panel during their consideration of the research priorities.

This is an invaluable opportunity for members of the AASM to draw attention to the growing field of sleep medicine and advocate for funding projects investigating the relationship between sleep disorders and stroke. The deadline for input is June 30th.  Click here to learn more: https://www.ninds.nih.gov/about_ninds/message/message-Stroke-RFI.htm
