Request for research into disease risk linked to maternal sleep disturbances

The National Institutes of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) have announced a funding opportunity (FOA) that may interest sleep and circadian researchers. The R01 (PAR -13-109) is for research on how prenatal exposures contribute to chronic diseases and health conditions later in life. The FOA includes considerations on how sleep disturbances during pregnancy may lead to disease risk for the child. Standard application due dates apply. The expiration date is May 8, 2016.
