The practice management section of the AASM website has been updated to include archived copies of letters sent to private payers regarding their sleep medicine policies. Recent letters now available for download include a policy comment letter sent to Humana and letters sent to MVP and Cigna regarding their preauthorization protocols.
The AASM continues to prioritize communication with private payers. Members are encouraged to provide the AASM with their preauthorization experiences by participating in our preauthorization survey. Surveys should be directed to Nina Pasha (npasha@aasm.org or fax to 630-737-9790) and will be collected through Monday September 16.
