People with obstructive sleep apnea are perceived to appear more alert, youthful and attractive after adherent use of positive airway pressure therapy, according to a study in the September issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. Objective changes in facial surface volume and color also were identified, WebMD noted. The study may help motivate sleep apnea patients to comply with treatment, reported TODAY.
