Due to the lapse in government funding, the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) announced that its website and services, including PubMed/MEDLINE, may not be up to date.  Transactions submitted using the website may not be processed and the agency may not be able to respond to inquiries.

The Associated Professional Sleep Societies (APSS) and American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) will continue to submit all papers accepted and published in SLEEP and Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine to the NLM for inclusion in its databases.  However, the partial shutdown of government service may affect the status of papers submitted to PubMed and PubMed Central.  As a result, manuscripts may not be updated online in a timely manner.

The APSS and AASM will monitor this situation and keep members up to date on any additional issues that may arise while the shutdown remains in effect.
