Members are encouraged to visit the AASM Political Action Committee (AASM PAC) booth at SLEEP 2014 to learn about our two federal initiatives: the Stark exception and Senior Sleep. These initiatives will benefit our Medicare patients and are vital for ensuring the future of the sleep medicine profession.
Attendees can also register for the AASM PAC breakfast at SLEEP 2014 on Tuesday, June 3, from 7-8 a.m. The keynote speaker for this event will be Congressman Erik Paulsen (R-MN), who serves on the influential House Ways and Means Committee. The Congressman will provide his unique perspective on the health care issue as a member on this important committee, addressing changes affecting physicians and discussing the current status of health care debates in Congress. He also will talk about the importance of having a strong Political Action Committee in order to represent our interests in Washington.
