A study in the April 15 issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine reports that obstructive sleep apnea patients with uncontrolled hypertension are likely to experience the largest reduction in blood pressure with positive airway pressure therapy, after controlling for disease severity and daytime sleepiness. According to the authors, the results suggest that even patients with mild or moderate OSA are likely to benefit from PAP treatment.
