WPS Medicare recently released the following statement on its provider home page and via its eNews email alert:

“WPS Medicare recently denied Part A paid claims associated with the Office of Inspector General (OIG) report OEI-05-12-00340 for polysomnography services. Please disregard the demand letter, and do not submit appeals on these overpayments as all claim denials will be reversed. In addition, any monies already collected will be refunded, including interest.”

Providers with questions about the reversal of denied claims should contact WPS Medicare Customer Service directly at (866) 234-7331 in Indiana and Michigan or at (866) 518-3285 in all other WPS Part A states.
