The AASM and its partners in the National Healthy Sleep Awareness Project are encouraging the public to make the pledge to Stop the Snore. The pledge is to talk to a doctor about sleep apnea, to encourage a bed partner to talk to a doctor or to help spread the word about the warning signs of sleep apnea.

As part of the ongoing campaign to raise awareness for the Stop the Snore pledge, AASM President Dr. Timothy I. Morgenthaler a sleep expert from the CDC participated in a Twitter chat hosted by Huffington Post Healthy Living on Tuesday. As a result, more than 229,000 Twitter users were exposed to the risks of sleep apnea. AASM members are encouraged to help spread the word about sleep apnea and the Stop the Snore pledge by sharing the infographics and memes on social media.
