The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) has posted an executive summary of the workshop, Circadian Clock at the Interface of Lung Health and Disease, which was held April 28-29, 2014. The workshop assessed recent circadian genomic findings and identified opportunities to apply these discoveries to advance the understanding of lung disease pathophysiology and the ability to diagnose and treat pulmonary conditions such as asthma, COPD, IPF, pulmonary hypertension, acute lung injury, and sleep apnea.
