Sleep duration among U.S. Hispanic/Latinos varies by heritage as well as socioeconomic status, according to a study in the October issue of the journal SLEEP. The cross-sectional data suggest that short sleep is independently associated with obesity in Hispanic/Latinos, increasing the odds of obesity by 29 percent.
