Providers who did not satisfactorily report quality performance through the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) in 2014 are scheduled to receive a negative payment adjustment (penalty) of 2% in 2016. American Academy of Sleep Medicine members are encouraged to review their quality performance information for 2014 as soon as possible. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will accept informal review requests through the QualityNet Portal through Dec. 16, 2015. The informal review offers an option for providers who believe they are incorrectly scheduled to receive 2016 negative payment adjustment.
Providers can access their 2014 Annual PQRS Feedback Reports and Quality and Resource Use Reports (QRURs) for 2014 on the CMS website.
