More than 200 telehealth-related bills were introduced in 42 state legislatures in 2015, according to a new report from the National Conference of State Legislatures. The report, “Telehealth Policy Trends and Considerations,” provides an overview of issues related to coverage and reimbursement, licensure, and safety and security.
According to the report, use of telehealth services is expected to grow from 250,000 patients in 2013 to 3.2 million patients in 2018.
