The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a solicitation for a contractor to conduct a national survey of a randomly selected sample of drivers on their attitudes, behavior and awareness of drowsy driving. 

The objective of the contract includes identifying relevant prior surveys and publications to inform the current survey design, developing a multi-modal survey instrument, sampling plan that is designed to be representative of the United States population and collecting, analyzing, reporting, and disseminating the survey results. There are also optional tasks associated with this project that, at the government’s discretion, will focus on disseminating the results of the project and/or re-collecting survey data.

The anticipated award date for the contract is September 2016.
