As part of the National Healthy Sleep Awareness Project, the AASM and its partners have developed a quality measure that can be used in primary care environments to determine if appropriate risk assessment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is being performed. A special article in the August issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine describes the quality measure, supporting rationale, and implementation strategies.
