Editorial describes importance of reports on economic impact of sleep apnea

An editorial by AASM Immediate Past President Dr. Nathaniel Watson describes the rationale for the new reports commissioned by the AASM to analyze the economic impact of obstructive sleep apnea and the experience of adult sleep apnea patients in the U.S. Published in the Aug. 15 issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, the editorial urges AASM members to use this information to educate regional, state, and local stakeholders about the value of comprehensive OSA diagnosis and treatment.
