  • The AASM and SRS will jointly sponsor a full-day course on professional development Sunday, June 8 led by Jason Mateika, PhD, and Janet Mullington, PhD.
  • Lauren Hale, PhD, will lead a discussion group on the topic of "Sleep and Society: Towards a Research Agenda on the Social Determinants of Sleep" Monday, June 9.
  • The hottest area in sleep research is genetics, and Thomas Kilduff, PhD will review cutting edge science at "New Developments in Sleep Research: Molecular Genetics, Gene Expression and Systems Neurobiology" Monday, June 9.
  • Two invited lectures will focus on the efforts of major contributors to sleep research: Charles Czeisler, MD, PhD, will review his research career with "Sleep and Circadian Rhythms in Humans: Tales of Translation From the Lab to Practice" on Tuesday, June 10 and Christopher Early, MD, PhD, will complete the cycle with "Restless Legs Syndrome: From the Bed to the Bench and Back Again" on Wednesday, June 11.
