The AASM A-STEP Self-Study Modules are 14 online modules that cover information addressed in the Introductory Course. At the end of each module you must pass a short examination before proceeding to the next module. You may take the exam as many times as is necessary to earn a grade of 70 percent or higher.

The AASM will maintain certification records that show completion of the AASM A-STEP Self-Study Modules. This information will be made available for the technician to give to future employers.

If you have taken the AASM A-STEP Introductory Course, the cost for each module is $30. If you have not taken the AASM A-STEP Introductory Course, you will be charged a $50 registration fee and $40 for each module.
