Sleep Medicine Director
The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a Sleep Medicine Director to engage in clinical care, research and teaching for its multi-site sleep medicine program. The position includes leadership of the affiliated Middleton VA Hospital sleep laboratory, clinical care at a state-of-the-art 16 bed specialized facility, a personal research program dependent on qualifications and background and membership in the UW Center for Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research.
The position is available to anyone who is board eligible or board certified in Sleep Medicine. The incumbent will be a member of the faculty of the department of their core discipline. The search committee will evaluate candidates irrespective of discipline.
Requirements for the position include three to five years of experience in sleep medicine with demonstrated excellence in clinical care, education and research. The rank, assistant or associate professor, and the track, tenure track or CHS track, will depend on candidate qualifications and suitability for tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The CHS track is a non-tenure track emphasizing clinical practice, education and clinical research. Candidacy for the tenure track requires a record of consistent extramural support.
