Members of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine may volunteer to participate in one of eleven standing committees.
Committee members gain enriching professional experience, continuing the advancement of sleep medicine by evaluating policies and professional standards, developing educational materials and participating in a range of other essential tasks.
Appointments are made on an annual basis. Applications will be accepted in February; members will be notified by mid-April. Committee terms begin at the annual SLEEP meeting.
The term limit is three years. Members appointed to chair and vice-chair positions will receive an additional three-year term.
