The AASM PQRSwizard program is a convenient and cost-effective tool to help collect and report quality measure data for the CMS PQRS incentive payment program. The Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) was developed by the CMS as a voluntary reporting program that provides a financial incentive to physicians and other eligible professionals who report data on quality measures for covered services furnished to Medicare beneficiaries. Make sure you receive your 2013 sleep measure incentives; reporting must be completed by March 13, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Reporting requirements are easier to meet this year. For 2013, providers will only be required to report PQRS data on 20 patients, 11 of which must be Medicare Part B Fee-For-Service patients. Additionally, successful reporting of PQRS measures in 2013 will ensure that you avoid a penalty in 2015 equal to 1.5% of your Medicare allowable charges.
When you register through the AASM, the PQRSwizard program is only $225. That's a savings of $74 compared to the retail price of $299. 2013 PQRS participants are eligible to receive a 0.5 percent financial incentive payment from CMS.
Savings based on your total allowed charges for Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) covered services.
New for 2013 reporting – the AASM is offering a discount to group practices. Practices with 10-20 participating physicians will receive a 10% discount on PQRSwizard registration. Practices with 21 or more participating physicians will receive a 15% discount on PQRSwizard registration.
