The Sleep Scoring Resource
The AASM Manual for the Scoring of Sleep and Associated Events: Rules, Terminology and Technical Specifications is the definitive reference for the evaluation of polysomnograms. This comprehensive and continuously evolving resource provides rules for scoring sleep stages, arousals, respiratory events during sleep, movements during sleep and cardiac events. The AASM Scoring Manual also provides standard montages, electrode placements and digitization parameters. This online publication is essential for sleep technologists who perform and score sleep studies and for physicians who interpret polysomnographic recordings.
A committee of renowned sleep experts oversees the evolution of the classic work by Rechtschaffen and Kales to become the AASM Scoring Manual we know today. Each scoring rule and subsequent revision is formed by consensus based on extensive literature review and analysis.
