This compilation consists of the seven evidence review papers that form the scientific basis for The AASM Manual for the Scoring of Sleep and Associated Events: Rules, Terminology and Technical Specifications. The review papers combine the best available evidence from more than 1,500 articles with the insight of 50 leading experts in sleep science and medicine. Each paper provides a historical perspective, a review and evidence grading of measures, and a discussion of future areas for research. Together these articles provide a comprehensive and current examination of a broad scope of topical areas in polysomnography.
The review articles were first published in 2007 in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, Volume 3, Issue 2.
